Kacie had an adventurous childhood growing up in the Pacific Northwest. She enjoyed horseback riding, skiing, snowboarding, fishing, and was even a competitive figure skater for many years. Her true passion started in the first grade when she was cast in her very first play. After that performance, she fell in love with acting. Starting in local theater performances such as Narnia, The Little Mermaid, and Tom Sawyer she enjoyed playing any part she was cast in. After years of performing locally, at just sixteen years old she was accepted to study at the summer film program at UCLA. After that inspiring summer she decided that she would move to Hollywood and pursue a career in the film industry.

After graduating high school, she briefly moved to Seattle, Washington to study acting and art history. She took an opportunity through her school to study literature and French abroad in Paris, France. When she returned to Seattle she was offered a scholarship to AMDA Hollywood which she accepted and would later receive her performing arts degree. She was even accepted to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London where she studied Shakespeare for a summer program in-between her semesters at AMDA.

During her time at AMDA she fell in love with a local comedy club known as ACME comedy theater where she became a writer and performer of their sketch comedy shows. Writing became a passion that she fell for effortlessly. She created her own sketch group called Griffen which performed all around Hollywood including for National Lampoon and even sold out IO West headlining with their starring friend Jonathan Bennet.

As she steadily pursued a career in writing for television and film she continued to perform at ACME when she fell in love with one of her co-stars Mike Foos. They have been together ever since. Happily married, they had a daughter who they named Frankie. She was born with a very rare metabolic disease called Phenylketonuria, otherwise known as PKU. Kacie decided to write and illustrate a children’s book series to bring awareness for her daughter and to the rare disease community.

The beautiful thing about being a writer is one can live anywhere, and when the opportunity presented itself Mike, Kacie, and Frankie took a leap of faith and moved to Tennessee where they reside today.

Kacie released her first novel in May of 2024 entitled The Park House. She released her second novel Kiss me in Kotor, October of 2025 and is releasing the sequel to The Park House entitled The Park House Affair in December of 2025.
